CDOIQ Symposium comes to Japan
Shiga University proudly presents the 1st CDOIQ Japan Symposium, December 4–5, 2025!
We are excited to announce that Shiga University will host the inaugural CDOIQ Japan Symposium in Hikone, Shiga Prefecture this December. The theme of the event is:
“Harnessing AI and Data Transformation with Governance – Revitalizing Regions with Next-Gen Innovation.”
This symposium will bring together participants from Japan and across Asia, including global, national, and regional sponsors, as well as data and AI-enthusiastic students. Shiga University is recognized as Japan’s pioneer in data science education, having established the country’s first Department of Data Science in 2017.

Event Overview:
Day 1 (Dec. 4):
The symposium will kick off at the Lake Biwa Otsu Prince Hotel, beautifully located on the shores of Japan’s largest lake.

An evening reception will be held at the hotel to welcome all attendees.
Day 2 (Dec. 5):
Chartered buses will transport participants to Hikone Campus of Shiga University, for a full day of sessions and networking.
