Hitoshi Shibasaka has worked in corporate administration and internal systems development at Nose Steel Co., Ltd.
In 2019, he launched a joint research project with the Shiga University DEML Center on multi-truck delivery route optimization.
He later entered the Master’s Program at the Graduate School of Data Science, Shiga University, and in July 2022 founded Dknowledge Inc., a university-certified startup, to bring the research outcomes into practical use.

Based on the optimization algorithms developed through the joint research and refined through field validation, he released the delivery optimization application “Hi-SIA” in October 2025.
His work focuses not only on automating manual dispatching and addressing Japan’s 2024 logistics labor regulation issue, but also on promoting data utilization for small and mid-sized businesses beyond the logistics sector.
